And we're back!

Happy New Year everyone!! Even though I'm a little late on this, I still wish you great stuff for this coming year; may you accomplish all your goals. This year, we hope to continue to provide a great environment for you to enjoy your time in geography.

MUGS Welcomes you back!

You barely made it through the holiday break without the GIS, the geography lounge, GICrushes and MUGS? Well, we have a great event planned to kick off this semester and it's better late than never! We have a Gert's night planned for Tuesday January 27^th! We have rented it for your enjoyment so show up at 5 pm, tell them you're with us and we'll get you the first round. (We only have reserved officially from 5-8 so if you show really late, we might not be there)

5th Annual Ecospiel – MSE vs. Geography

Last year, Geography beat the MSE in curling and this year, we need your help to keep the cup. On Saturday January 31^st, the game will take place in the Baie d'Urfe Curling Club from 2-6 pm. It costs $15 per person and it includes pizza and all the equipment. No experience is required but losers buy drinks for the winners.

Field Notes Submissions

Call for submissions! Field Notes, the undergraduate geography journal, is accepting submissions for the 2014-2015 issue. Please submit academic work with geographic relevance to journal.fieldnotes@gmail.com by January 31^st.

Please only submit class work with a grade of A- or higher.

Geography Mentor Program Open for New Mentees!

Did you miss out on getting a mentor last semester through the Geography graduate-undergraduate mentor program? Want to learn from a graduate student's experiences post-undergrad? You can apply for a graduate student mentor for winter semester until January 26^th

Kanata Journal Submissions

KANATA, the Undergraduate Journal of McGill's Indigenous Studies Community is accepting submissions for its eighth volume! KANATA is an interdisciplinary student-published journal with content (art, academic writing, poetry) that focuses on topics relating to Indigenous Peoples. We are also looking for editors to help out with editing the journal.

Office Hours

Have you seen people rocking our fantastic geography tuques? Or perhaps wearing hoodies with Burnside coordinates in the back? We are the ones who sell those! If you want to get some, come by our office hours. For now, we only have tuques for $15 a piece but soon, we will have the orders for clothing.

Our Office Hours for this week only are Wednesday 21^st until Friday 23^rd from 12 pm to 1 pm at the geography lounge.
