Welcome back Geographers!

We hope everyone is coming back from lovely summers all around, and ready to continue to make the Geography department tons of fun!
Upcoming events to look forward to:

The pizza party and book-swap is happening this MONDAY September 13 at 1PM in the MUGS lounge (Burn 305). Save some money on books and meet new friends while chowing down on some delicious free pizza!

Locker sign up is ongoing- stop by the lounge this week (hours are posted on the chalk board) to sign up for a locker. Old locks will be cut on Sept. 15th, so if you want to renew yours come see us soon!

Want to join MUGS?? There are a few positions that still need to be filled: U1 Rep, Sustainability Rep, and VP Finance. Drop by the lounge to grab a form and have a chat.

Guest speakers! The first Geospectives of the season is MONDAY Sept 13, 11-12:30pm, Room 426. Sarah Johnsen from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh will present a talk on homelessness (Revanchist Sanitization or Coercize Care? The use of enforcement to combat problematic 'street culture' in England), hosted by Julia Christensen, one of our PhD students.
