Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged. 12th Annual McGill Graduate & Professional Schools Fair November 2nd 11am-3pm SUS and CaPS are organizing the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair for students of all faculties. There will be 65 diverse programs from Canada and abroad, representatives from a litany of fields (Medicine, Law, Business, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.), and FREE SAMOSAS. Booths will be set up in the SSMU Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the University Centre/Shatner Building and admission is free of charge. BYOBiome Apartment Crawl November 4th starting at 6:45pm This year's apartment crawl is a MUGS survival adventure through four biomes around the world: tropical rainforest, bog, arctic tundra, and desert. Come with us- drink jungle juice in the tropical rainforest and get iced in the arctic tundra! Get ready for a worldwide adventure you'll (hopefully) never forget! Tickets are $10 for Geography students and $15 for non-Geography students. You can RSVP on Facebook here, and we will be tabling in the GIC: Monday 3:30-4:30 Tuesday 2:30-5:30 Wednesday 11:30-5:30 Friday 1:00-3:00 Global Leader Experience Program November 14th - 17th This four-day programme is a unique opportunity to develop your leadership skills and Cultural Intelligence (the ability to cross divides and thrive in multiple cultures). Participants are given the opportunity to meet and network with leaders from the private, public, and non-profit sectors in Montréal. This event is free, but you have to apply. The theme for this year is "How do smart cities ensure they are inclusive?", you can learn more here. GIC WORKSHOPS Every Friday until Christmas There will be 10 workshops starting this Friday in the GIC on topics ranging from ArcGIS, QGIS, R, Endnote and finding data. All workshops start at 2:30 on Fridays and are FREE only for Geography students, but you have to register beforehand here. |
