GEOGRAPHY MENTORSHIP PROGRAM!
Looking to 'find your coordinates' for life after McGill? Confused about what to do with a geography degree? Want to get to know some of the great Masters and PhD students that are in the department?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the MUGS Mentorship Program is for you! Application forms are attached to this listserv, and hard copies can be found in the MUGS lounge (BH 305). Please submit forms to geographymentorprogram@gmail.com or leave hard copies in the box in the lounge. Shoot them an email if you have any further questions!

THE AUS ESSAY CENTER
Need essay help? The AUS Essay Center is now open in the Champagne Room of the AUS lounge (Leacock basement). Essay Tutors are available to help proofread and edit your essay. They welcome students from all disciplines and all levels, and drop-in hours are from 10:30-11:30am Monday through Friday. Make sure to bring a printed copy of your essay and the essay topic/question. French essay help is also available. READING WEEK IN BARBADOS 
October 3rd Meeting

Worried about winter blues? Plan ahead! Earn credit while integrating human and physical geography in Barbados. Professor Meredith will be teaching GEOG496: Regional Geographic Excursion (3cr.) over Reading Week (Mar 2-Mar11). If you are interested there is an info meeting tomorrow at 4:30 PM in Burnside 426, but if you can't make it email Professor Meredith at tom.meredith@mcgill.ca.

GERTS NIGHT 
October 5th 7 PM 

Do you like Beer, geography, and meeting new people? Combine these interests, and meet us at Gerts! (The student bar at in the basement of SSMU). Bring a friend, bring your crush from class, bring your passion loamy soil and Le Corboozier (lol). We hope to see you there!

APPLE PICKING 
October 15th 

On Oct. 15th MUGS is inviting you on an apple picking adventure to Mac Campus! Tickets for our private bus cost $10, and then you have the option of buying as many apple baskets as you would like! We will be selling tickets in the GIC on Monday 1:30-3:30, Tuesday 12-2, ad Thursday 3-5. Can't wait to see y'all.
