1. Open MUGS PositionsAre you a U1 student who's got geog-fever, or just loves the department and wants to get more involved? Pick up a Nomination form from the MUGS lounge (BURN 305) and collect 10 signatures from fellow U1s vouching for your excellence and drop the form off in our artistic London Tube map box in the MUGS lounge ASAP (date TBD, though in the very near future).
Slightly more info bellow on U1 rep position, as well as an open Sustainability officer position open to all years! Sustainability Officer?
Leads MUGS sustainability initiatives, including a year‐long sustainability project involving MUGS executives and members at large. U1 Rep?
Represents the U1 class to MUGS. Sits on the Undergraduate Affairs Committee to advise departmental changes. |

2. Lockers!!If you're interested in staying in Burnside for the maximum time possible, and avoid schlepping books from home everyday, a locker might be the best thing for you! To apply to have your very own conveniently placed locker (Burnside basement) come by the MUGS Lounge (BURN 305) from 12 - 4pm on Monday or Tuesday. They are free for Geog majors (in case you were wondering if you made the right choice) and $10 to non-majors. |

|
3. Geography Volleyball Intramural Team!Need to blow off some steam from GIC-induced stress? Look no further! Take some time off (with a sphere with no projections) and some fellow geographers in D-league, non-competitive Intramural volleyball. If ~12 people join, the fee should be ~$16 each for the semester. And if you're all really keen (i'm an optimist) we could even make multiple teams to divide and conquer (non-competitively of course).
If you're interested, send me an email at mcgillgeography@gmail.com. Hopefully see you on the court! |
