Happy Monday, hope you're all enjoying the beautiful weather from whichever library you find yourselves in! Right on to the news we gooooooooo....

i) VOTING RESULTS: Your next year's MUGS co-presidents are...(drumroll, please)...Stephanie Austin and Daniel Haberman! Congratulations! In entirely unrelated news, the motion to renew the departmental strike failed, with 37 students voting NO, 13 students voting YES, and 5 Abstentions.

ii) HONOURS POSTERS: On Wednesday, from 2-5 in Burnside 308, the Geography Honours students who completed their thesis projects this year will be displaying their work in poster form! Come check it out, check your nonconstructive criticism at the door.

iii) PROF OF THE YEAR NOMINEES: We all know that every singe one of our department's profs are great, but we have only one mug to give! Feel free to choose one of the following- Pablo Arroyo, Sebastien Breau, Lea Berrang Ford, Bernard Lehner, Thom Meredith and Sarah Turner and send your vote into geographyelections@gmail.com! voting runs until next Thursday, April 12th, and the winner will be announced the following day.

iv) MUGS PHOTO COMPETITION: It's underway right now and there are some amazing photos...you can see them all and vote at the MUGS Facebook Page.

v) END OF THE YEAR PIZZA SHINDIG: April 13th, in the lounge we'll be having a little end-of-the-year thing. Not too sure about the exact time right now, but we'll keep you posted. Prof of the year and photo competition winners will be announced too.
