Hello Geographers,

The MUGS committee hopes your summer is going well, and you are doing some loosely geography related. I am passing along a survey for Transportation Research at McGill (TRAM). Please take the time to fill it out.

Le Transportation Research at McGill (TRAM) mène
présentement une enquête sur l'utilisation du
vélo et du transport en commun. Dans le cadre de
ce nouveau projet de recherche, nous souhaitons
recueillir de l'information sur la façon dont les
résidents de la région de Montréal combinent
l'utilisation du vélo et du transport en commun,
dans le but d'améliorer la compatibilité entre
ces deux modes. Visitez notre site web et
partagez votre point de vue ainsi que vos
expériences en remplissant un court questionnaire.

Le TRAM est un groupe de recherche
multidisciplinaire composé de professeurs et
d'étudiants rattachés principalement à l'École
d'urbanisme de la Faculté de Génie de
l'Université McGill. Les membres du TRAM ont un
intérêt de recherche particulier pour le vélo.
Une enquête sur les habitudes et préférences des
Montréalais concernant la pratique du vélo a
d'ailleurs été réalisée au cours de l'été 2009.
Les résultats de cette enquête sont disponibles sur le site web du TRAM.

Transportation Research at McGill (TRAM) is
presently conducting research on cycling and
public transit usage. In this new research, we
wish to examine how residents of the region of
Montreal combine cycling to public transit use,
in order to ease connections between those two
modes. Please visit out website and share your
views and experiences in a short survey.

TRAM is a multidisciplinary team including
faculty members and students mainly from the
School of Urban Planning, Faculty of Engineering,
McGill University. TRAM members have developed a
particular interest in cycling research. A
cycling survey was conducted during summer 2009
to learn more about Montrealers' cycling habits
and preferences. Results of the survey are available on the TRAM website.
