Hello Geographers,

i) Geography Clothing is NOW available!!! We will be selling zip-up hoodies, pull-over hoodies , T-shirts (Tri-blend, organic cotton and regular) AND totebags. Attached is a detailed list of styles and prices, as well as an order form. We will be collecting order forms all of this week in the MUGS lounge between 12pm and 2pm. We will also be collecting order forms the same time next week, until the deadline Wednesday, April 7th. If you are unable to make it during these times, you can drop off your order form and a check in the MUGS mailbox in the geography office on the 7th floor of Burnside (a.k.a. 45º 30' 16" N, 73º 34' 29" W for those with a GPS enabled device.

ii) Annual Photo Contest!- If you want to flaunt your geography related photography skills, our annual photo contest will be held this semester. The theme is GEOGRAPHY -as always. The deadline is April 2nd, so you still have some time to snap the perfect shot. We accept hard copies or digital submissions, and entries can be submitted in person to M.U.G.S. council members. Digital submissions can be emailed to mcgillgeography@gmail.com This year's prize will be geography clothing!

iii) Urban Systems Reception. Tuesday, March 30, 4-5:30 PM there will be a reception in the M.U.G.S lounge welcoming Prof.Domosh for her lecture on the 31st *please see following entry. The reception will be a great forum for discussion. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

iv) Lecture by Mona Domosh: 'The World was Never Flat: Early Global Encounters and the Messiness of Empire' will be taking place on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, 4:00 pm in the Macdonald Harrington Building, Room G-10.

v) Professor of the year! The professors up for nomination this year will be; Natalie Oswin, Rene Sieber, George Wenzel, Bernhard Lehner and Lea Berrang-Ford. Take the time to vote at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z97KTN7 or by paper ballot in the MUGS lounge, responses will be due the first week of April on the 6th.

vi) HONOURS PRESENTATIONS!!!- Just a reminder that 'The second annual Honours Thesis poster presentations will be on April 1, from 2-5 PM, in room 426. Please come by during this time to
see the work of your fellow students! See the possibilities of what can be done in the honours geography program!
