As the end of this academic year, is fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about the future of MUGS. Each year, a dynamic group of dedicated students make up the MUGS executive team. They take on a diverse set of responsibilities and help to facilitate events, provide support, act as a liaison between students, faculty and other groups on campus as well as acting as a general representative council for the Department of Geography here at McGill. This year MUGS has worked extra hard to bring you events like Pints, Lines and Polygons, Lounge Events and Apartment Crawls. We have restored the lounge space and have worked with the Graduate Geography Student Society to organize the Mentorship Program. And we aren't done yet! We still have the Field Notes Release, Alumni Panel, Wine and Cheese and the end of year party of course.

MUGS is a wonderful community of close knit students. We wear our departmental pride on our sleeves. Geography is known as one of the friendliest departments on campus. Do you see yourself contributing to this longstanding reputation of the McGill Undergraduate Geography Society. If you have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and you think you have what it takes to represent the Department of Geography, why not think about running for a positions on MUGS for the 2019-2020 Academic year?

The Science Undergraduate Society (SUS) Scholarship Fund was created to further the SUS's mandate to enrich the lives of students and to support the SUS's commitment to inspiring learning, leadership, and citizenship. The SCSF is thus intended to formally recognize individuals who inspire these qualities and go above and beyond in serving their peers and their community. The goal of the SCSF is to identify outstanding McGill Science and Arts & Science students for their leadership and community achievement during their time at McGill. Students' contributions may extend beyond the limits of the McGill community, but preference will be given to those that directly contribute to science undergraduate students at McGill. The fund is jointly administered by the SUS and the Faculty of Science. The SUS President, SUS VP Finance, the Faculty of Science Associate Dean of Research, and the Faculty of Science Associate Dean of Academics are responsible for evaluating the applications.
