Subject: Project Green - call for student submissions
To: "Michelle Louise Maillet, Ms" <michelle.maillet@mcgill.ca>
Dear Ms. Michelle Maillet,
My name is Michelle Guo, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Science Undergraduate Society Environmental Committee (SUSEC). We are planning to host a day-long event called "Project Green" in late March 2018, and we encourage undergraduate and graduate students to submit their own environmental-related projects for competitive presentation. We are wondering if you could pass the word along to students who might be interested in presenting.
The event is a new initiative this year which includes guest speakers giving their perspective of current environmental issues, and what the McGill community can do to help. This will be followed by a small lunch, as well as a student-presentation competition in the afternoon. Interested professors will also be invited to judge the student presentations, and the students with the best projects will receive a prize. Students are more than welcome to bring their demo to the afternoon conference, but posters and slides are also acceptable.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could forward this email to any students who you think may be interested. We are open to any type of project or demonstration for submission that students may be passionate about pursuing.
If you are interested in being a potential adjudicator, guest speaker, or would like more information, do not hesitate to contact us at external.sus@mail.mcgill.ca !
Sincerely,
Michelle Guo
