If you are a geography major or minor in either Arts or Science, or even if you are interested in Geography, this meeting is for you. This will be a chance for you to get to know your exec and meet others in your program. We can discuss ideas for upcoming events and find out what is important to you as a geography student. 3.MUGS Apartment Crawl
This year we are excited to reveal the theme of the most anticipated MUGS events, most popular departmental apartment crawl, the night that we live and die for... MUGS APARTMENT CRAWL.

🥁The theme for this years apartment crawl will be...🥁

 l  y  s

That's right, dress up as Earth's Changing Surface, Intro to GIS, Geography and the World Economy, Cities in the Modern World etc. Dress up as your profs or even fashion a costume made of old labs and course packs if you dare revisit them. Dress up as Dr. John Snow (not from game of thrones), James Hutton, Alexander von Humboldt, or Von Thünen. All things Geog 200's!! Bring your 'A' game people because this year there will be a theme prize given to one star geography pupil who best embodies first year geo classes. The prize will be revealed in the next Listerv. so stay tuned!

MUGS is super pumped to bring this event to you. But we need YOUR help. Typically, to host an apartment crawl, one needs apartments. This is your opportunity to be etched into MUGS history, as the most host of the most legendary apartment crawl in the history of MUGS apartment crawls.

Let's talk perks: First of all, If you agree to provide your apartment, all party essentials (drinks, cups, food) will be provided by MUGS! You will get to keep any left over beverages, food and decorations (if you would like). Second of all, you and your roommates will each get free crawl tickets.  Third of all, We will provide all the cleanup services, your apartment will surely be cleaner than when we got it.

If you or any of your friends are interested in being the heroic apartment hosts we would love to hear from you. Email us at mcgillgeography@gmail.com or message our facebook page.

4.OMG - Mapping Accessibility on Campus

OMG is continuing last year's collaboration with McGill's Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) to create an accessibility map of campus. Join us in collecting data of McGill's downtown campus – this time with the help of Survey123, a simple and intuitive data-gathering app!

No previous mapping experience is necessary, and all majors and degree levels are welcome 😊 We will start with an introduction from the OSD, following an info session to give mappers an understanding of what indoor features to map and how they should be recorded onto Survey123.

Date: October 23rd, 5:30-7:30 PM
Location: Burnside Hall Room 308
RSVP for FREE on Eventbrite or through Facebook!"

5. Want to see your event or opportunity in the next Listerv?

Join the Office of the Principal in Bicentennial Preparations!

In 2021, McGill University will commemorate its 200th anniversary. The Bicentennial is an opportunity for the McGill community to come together and celebrate the university's history, our rich and diverse community, and to launch our third century. The Office of the Principal sincerely invites all students to join us in the preparations leading up to the celebrations. We will be holding town halls for the student body to share their ideas, visions and initiate a long-term conversation about the Bicentennial and our shared future. Two town halls will be held downtown, in Leacock 232 from 4pm to 5:30pm on Wednesday, September 26th and Tuesday, October 16th. At Macdonald campus, join us on Thursday, October 4, at 11:45am, in CC1-163. Snacks, coffee and refreshments will be provided (Bring-Your-Own-Mug!) on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are unable to attend, or would like to correspond in the meanwhile, please feel free to share your suggestions, ideas and concerns at bicentennial.students@mcgill.ca.
