Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) Conference Volunteers Needed!

Hey y'all, hope you've been having an amazing summer whether you're still in the 45 or at other exotic latitudes.

This email's to find volunteers to help out at OSM's  HOT summit (i'm not kidding, these are the acronyms they've picked... expect a huge turn out). Below I've copied HOT's impressive resume

"HOT is one of the leading non-profit, open data organizations that specializes in geospatial data for humanitarian relief, disaster response, recovery and resilience. We work with Canadian Red Cross, American Red Cross, MSF-UK, World Food Program, the World Bank, various UN organizations and local and national disaster management agencies organizing data collection or helping with open data use. I have integrated Humanitarian Mapping into some of my classes. You can find out more information about us on our website: ."

The conference takes place on September 14th and 15th in Ottawa. Your  responsibilities would include:

  1.  Assisting at the Registration Desk
  2.  Assisting during a session - take notes and tweet
  3.  Assisting at lunch / hopefully eating some

So if you're looking for a hot (HOT), awesome (OSM) summit in Ottawa, read more about the summit here, and send an email to Raja explaining your interest! :)
