Hello Geographers!

It's a big week, and you lucky geographically-aware audience get not One.... though TWO Listservs this week! :o

  1. New Professor Job Talk
  2. Thanks folks

1. Job Talks

If the rumours haven't found you yet, we are currently in the midst of interviewing new possible ISID-geog professors! You are all invited to participating in these tentative profs presentations on their research, which next monday (Feb.13th) from 10:30am-12pm in lovely room 426.

The speaker is Dr. Eric Chu, who is an assistant professor of Urban Studies at the University of Amsterdam. His talk will have the fascinating title/topic of:

"Climatopia: Urban Development in an Era of Security, Smartness, and Resilience"

Check out the poster here, which includes Dr.Chu's bio, as well as a blurb on what the talk will be about (without divulging all the good bits, you need to show up for those).

So come one, come all, and stay tuned for additional Job talks coming up!

2. Thank you

Just wanted to thank you folks for being a cool group of people, keep it up and sorry about the extra email. What's a geog email without a map though, so in commemoration of Dr.Chu's current university, here's a nifty minimalist map of the beautiful city of Amsterdam
Have a nice day!
