  1. The Great Mugration Apartment Crawl Details
  2. GIS Day – this Wednesday!
  3. Cool Thing of the Week

Hey everyone! Hope your weeks all got off to a good start. I just wanted to remind everyone about some upcoming events in geography this week:

1. The Great Mugration Apartment Crawl

It's coming, and it's gonna be big! The Migration begins at 6:30 pm on Friday November 16th, with a pizza party in the lounge. We will then take the bus up to Mile End and begin the crawl, and get our drink on! There will be hard liquor and beer in every destination. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MUG, otherwise you will not get anything to drink (frosh cups are fine).

Tickets are $10 for geographers, $15 for non-geographers, this covers the pizza and all the booze. You are also in charge of your own bus fare. We will be holding office hours every day in the lounge from 1:00-2:30pm so you can buy your ticket.

2. GIS Day – this Wednesday

Another awesome thing coming up this week is GIS day! This is a worldwide celebration of the rising field of Geographic Information Systems, and we will be using it as an opportunity to have a grand reopening of the GIC. There will be all sorts of exciting events going onfrom 12:30 – 6:00pm, including a wine and cheese at the end! Consult the website for the full schedule:

3. Cool Thing of the Week

In the spirit of GIS Day, here is the twitter page so that you can follow the celebration of GIS day all around the world! I still can't believe that it's really a thing.

Adios amigos, see you at the apartment crawl!
